25: eBay $16.52. This is one postal history piece that many did
not take a second or even a third serious look. Perhaps it is too ordinary
looking. But read this: PROVINCIAL LOCAL CIRCULATING MAIL VERY SCARCE TO
EVEN RARE. They come once in a blue moon. The reason for this is the fact
that at that time everybody knew everyone and in some towns practically
everyone was related to each other which gave no reason on why they will
spend 2 centavos to write to someone within the same locality.
In my lifetime
I have helped five collectors prepare their USPI postal history exhibits
and still remember that three of the five had correspondence mailed
from one location to another in the same province but ONLY ONE had a provincial
local circulating cover.
Hats off
to the buyer. A big fish does not automatically make it a trophy. This
small one
